Coming to Ta Van commune right when people held a ceremony to go to the fields, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, along the small roads leading to Sa Pa's tourist commune, a long, crowded stream of people flocked to attend the festival.
In the bustling atmosphere of the festival, Ms. Duong Thi Van - a tourist from Hanoi - shared: "Today is a festival, so my friends and I took the opportunity to go down early to visit. But beyond the expectation, the roads were extremely congested. Tens of thousands of people jostle each other in small spaces and have to walk on temporary bamboo bridges, so it is a bit slow and cramped.
Many people follow Provincial Road 152 towards Ta Van Dai 2 village (ta Van commune) but it is not getting better when the group of people travels for kilometers.
"The section that must be moved at the latest is the main organizing area of the festival. The crowded crowd kept going back and forth, so it took us a long time to escape, said Mr. Duong Duc Quang - a tourist from Hanoi.
According to research, the Commune Flower Festival in Ta Van commune is the end of a month of fun Tet, and at the same time opens a production cycle, a new crop.
This is also an occasion for worshiping local government (Tho Do) to pray for good and fresh rice corn, developed livestock, peaceful villages, and good health for everyone...
On February 16, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ta Van Commune - said: "This year, the festival went to the fields because the locality organized it successfully. Today's weather is also very beautiful, so tens of thousands of people and tourists have flocked to attend. We have carefully and thoughtfully arranged every preparation process to make the work go most smoothly.
It is known that at this time, most hotels and motels in Sa Pa town are operating at full capacity to serve tourists. If tourists do not book a room in advance but just go to a new place to find it, it will be very difficult.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - a tourist from Lai Chau - said: "We went with 6 people, wanted to find 3 rooms to hang out on the weekend, but when we called dozens of hotels, they all said they were out of rooms. Therefore, we have to find a place to rest a little away from the center".
That afternoon, a friend intended to go to Sa Pa to stay on Saturday night but could not book a room, suddenly thinking that there was a friend working in Sa Pa, he asked to help book a room. I asked the office, after nearly 2 hours of contacting more than 30 hotels, I found a room for the group, Sa Pa Town Party Secretary Phan Dang Toan shared.
According to Ms. Hoang Thi Vuong - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa town, this weekend, due to the time of Valentine and the festival in Ta Van commune, the number of tourists coming to Sa Pa is very large, especially international tourists.
"Sa Pa organizes outdoor events every time it is a weather game. However, the weather in Ta Van commune is currently warm and dry, so it is very favorable to organize the festival. As for accommodation services, they are basically fully booked, except for homestays, small motels or those far away," added the Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa town.
