On 8.2 (January 11), in Sa Pa, the bucket festival was held by H’Mong ethnic people. The festival is chaired by Hoang Lien Commune People's Committee and the H’Mong ethnic communes living in Sa Pa in collaboration with Cat Cat Dong Tourism Company.
This is an important cultural event to preserve and promote the unique cultural identity of the H’Mong people, and promote local tourism.
Present at Cat Cat village, as noted by PV Lao Dong newspaper, in the sky, only 5 degrees Celsius, mixed with small rains, along with the foggy sky that made the weather here cut the skin.
Despite the cold, but it does not stop thousands of people and tourists attending the Bau Tao Festival in early spring.
Over 600 km from Thanh Hoa to Sapa Du Spring, Ms. Le Thi Hanh shared: “The weather these days in Sa Pa must be said to be very cold, more rain so it is more harsh. Knowing that this morning there was a bucket festival, so I and my family took advantage of early to visit and enjoy the music performances and the traditional game of H’Mong people ”.
Through research, this is the largest festival, the most participants, considered the most typical and unique festival of the H'Mong people.
Mr. Do Dinh Hung - Chairman of People's Committee of Hoang Lien Commune (Sa Pa) - said: "The organization of the festival is to create a healthy and joyful playground for the local people, while attracting tourists to visit, Discover and learn the traditional cultural beauty of ethnic minorities.
According to the folk concept, the Bau Tao festival is an opportunity for H'Mong people to thank the gods, asking heaven and earth to give their children, health, luck to do business and pray for favorable rain and wind, crops lush...
The Gao Cao festival has 2 parts and festivals, after the ceremony, the festival will take place simultaneously at the same time traditional games such as: Pao, beating badminton, competing for national sports such as pushing sticks, tug of war ...
According to Ms. Hoang Thi Vuong - Head of Culture and Information Department of Sa Pa Town, these days, the price of hotel and motel services is still stable. After the Lunar New Year, the locality will have a series of cultural and fun activities to welcome visitors to Sa Pa.
