Sa Pa starts construction of resettlement area for 28 households in Nam Than

Lao Cai - On October 17, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town organized a groundbreaking ceremony to resettle 28 households at risk of landslides in Nam Than village, Lien Minh commune.

Accordingly, during the flood caused by storm No. 3, Lien Minh commune suffered many impacts on housing, property, crops and infrastructure.

In particular, 40 households in the area have houses at risk of landslides, threatening life and property.

In particular, Nam Than village is an area at high risk of landslides with 28 households needing to evacuate immediately.

To avoid the risk of landslides affecting people's lives and property, and at the same time create conditions for people to soon stabilize their lives, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town has supported the construction of houses for the above 28 households.

The funding source is contributed and supported by Lao Cai Provincial Police, companies, businesses, and philanthropists.

Sa Pa town is committed to completing the construction of these 28 houses before November 30, 2024.
