The number of tourists is too crowded, some time the traffic is local congestion on the main roads.
Despite welcoming a large number of tourists, the hotel system in Sa Pa still ensures enough rooms, and accommodation facilities in the town center are at maximum capacity.
Some tourist attractions are open to welcome visitors during Tet, such as Cat Cat, Fansipan cable car... Among them, the most popular tourist attraction is Fansipan, welcoming more than 10,000 visitors on February 1 (the 4th day of Tet) alone.
Mr. Le Van Viet - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa town said: Based on data compiled from tourist attractions in the town and hotels and motels, the total number of visitors to Sa Pa during the Lunar New Year holiday from January 25 to February 2, 2025 reached 141,205 (of which international visitors reached 15,699).
It is estimated that by the end of February 5, the number of tourists to Sa Pa reached 165,000, equal to 146.86% compared to the same period in 2024.
Total revenue from tourism activities during the entire holiday is estimated at VND587,800 billion, equal to 151% compared to the same period in 2024.
