Samsung Vietnam launches Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest in the Southern region

On May 30, Samsung Vietnam launched the Solve for Tomorrow 2025 competition in Ho Chi Minh City - representing the Southern region.

Following the success of the Roadshow program launched the contest in the North at the end of March 3, 2025 and the Central in mid -May 5, 2025, the program launched in the South was continued to spread the contest to the contest to more Southern students, thereby contributing to the universalization of STEM, further promoting activities to nurture technology talents - one of the important foundations in the development of the country in the future.

In 2024, the Samsung Solve For Tomorrow contest received the active participation from the Southern Regional Teams with nearly 800 entries from nearly 4,000 students and teachers. Of these, 13 teams in the top 40 best teams in the country, including 1 team from Hau Giang won the first prize in the junior high school table; 1 team from Ben Tre won the third high school prize and 1 team from the city. Ho Chi Minh won prospects and voted the high school table.

In 2025, the contest is expected to reach about 50,000 students in the Southern region and is expected to receive more entries from students in this region.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kim Yong Sup - Deputy General Director of Samsung Vietnam said: "The Solve for Tomorrow competition is one of Samsung's core social responsibility program series and today I feel the competition is even more meaningful when held in Ho Chi Minh City - considered the economic capital of Vietnam. I hope the contest will receive more participation from students, and through this contest, they will unleash their potential and find opportunities to develop themselves, and at the same time will have many creative ideas to contribute to building a better Vietnamese society".

Also at the event, Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province shared: Over the years, when Samsung Solve for Tomorrow has a playground, teachers and students of Hau Giang have had the opportunity to approach and arouse their passion for science. I believe that the future path of the students will be formed by the passion that started from today's Samsung Solve for Tomorrow playground...".

Within the framework of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 competition, Samsung will launch the "Solve for Tomorrow on Tour" activity "Spreading knowledge, unleashing creativity". Starting from April 26, 2025, this activity has now been held at 14 schools in 10 provinces and cities, contributing to bringing new STEM knowledge to about 12,000 students. Through a series of interactive activities such as career orientation seminars, technology experiences and robot innovation spanning the three regions of North - Central - South, Solve for Tomorrow on Tour has helped students better understand the role of STEM in life and career future.

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 is expected to attract about 160,000 students to register for online courses with 2,400 entries sent from junior high and high schools across the country.

The total prize value of this year's contest is nearly 6 billion VND with many attractive prize categories. In addition, schools with first prize teams will be sponsored by Samsung to build a STEM Lab room worth 60,000 USD.
