According to a report from the Tan Son Nhat Airport Operations Center, January 4 recorded the plan for Tan Son Nhat airport to operate 809 take-off and landing flights, transporting a total of 139,212 passengers. Compared to previous days, this figure recorded strong growth.
Accordingly, the number of visitors flocking to Ho Chi Minh City skyrocketed in the arrival direction. In which, domestic visitors overwhelmed with 42,802 arrivals out of nearly 73,000 arrivals. This is a stream of workers, students, and pupils from provinces and cities flocking back to the city to start the new working week on the morning of January 5.

Contributing more than 1/3 of the total airport output, Terminal T3 continues to promote operational efficiency on peak days.Planned data on January 4 shows that this terminal alone serves 308 flights with 48,442 passengers.
Notably, the number of passengers flocking through Terminal T3 is very large, reaching 26,039 arrivals (accounting for more than 60% of the total number of domestic passengers).The luggage conveyor belts and welcome halls here operate at full capacity to relieve the crowded flow of people.

In the opposite direction, the international terminal still maintains a high number of passengers with nearly 31,000 departures. The total number of passengers (both domestic and international) during the day reached more than 66,000.
After today's peak day, the number of passengers is forecast to slightly decrease before Tan Son Nhat airport enters the Tet Nguyen Dan peak service period soon.
