Phuoc Khanh bridge (belonging to package J3-1) across the Long Tau River, connecting Binh Khanh commune (HCMC) and Dai Phuoc commune (Dong Nai) is a complex technical item and decisive for the progress of the entire Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. The project has a length of 3, 186 m, a scale of 4 lanes with a navigation clearance of 55 m, the highest in Vietnam today. After nearly 5 years of stagnation due to capital problems and loan agreement extension, this package has restarted with a new contractor, currently bringing the total project volume to about 95%.

Recorded at the construction site, the construction pace is being pushed to the highest level. To compensate for the progress, the contractor organizes continuous work in 3 shifts, 4 crews. During the day, each bridge pier maintains about 80 - 85 engineers and workers; at night, there are 40 - 50 people clinging to the pier and supervisory forces on duty 24/24.

Mr. Vu Hoang, a worker directly constructing at the project, said that all human resources are closely following the motto "eat quickly, sleep urgently" to ensure progress.
Sharing the same opinion, Phuoc Khanh bridge supervision consultant, Mr. Le Van Khanh shared that, despite harsh weather conditions or erratic rain and sunshine, the construction site still maintains continuous operation thanks to units proactively coordinating and applying flexible and most suitable construction plans.

Technically, Phuoc Khanh bridge has a total of 48 cables, divided equally for two spans, 24 cables on each side and has now completed stretching 12/14 cables in each stage. At pier 15 alone, only 2 cables are completed for the structure part. The cantilever casting item is being maintained stably with an 8-day per span cycle as committed.
With the current pace, it is expected that from June 15 to 20, 2026, the main bridge will be officially joined, marking a milestone in moving to the completion phase.

According to the plan, immediately after the joining, items such as railing, asphalt concrete pavement and lighting system will be urgently deployed in July. It is expected that by September 2026, the entire bridge deck will be completed.
When the project is put into operation, vehicles traveling from the Mekong Delta provinces to Long Thanh airport will be connected smoothly, no longer having to go through the center of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby contributing to drastically reducing inner-city traffic pressure.
