On November 1, the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa City (Phu Yen) held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of this province in the 2023-2025 period and announced decisions on personnel work.
Accordingly, in the period of 2023-2025, Phu Yen province has 5 commune-level administrative units of Tuy Hoa city subject to reorganization. After the merger, Tuy Hoa city has 12 commune-level administrative units (9 wards and 3 communes).
Communes and wards subject to rearrangement include: Merging the entire natural area and population of Binh Ngoc commune with Ward 1, named Ward 1; merging the entire natural area and population of Ward 2 with Ward 8 and combining part of the area and population of Ward 9, named Ward 2; merging Ward 3 with Ward 5 and combining part of the area and population of Ward 9, named Ward 5; merging the entire natural area and population of Ward 4 with Ward 6, named Ward 4.
At the ceremony, the City Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the Decisions on the establishment of Party Committees of Wards 1, 2, 4, 5, appointing the Party Executive Committees of the wards for the 2020-2025 term, and appointing the Ward Standing Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee said that the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Tuy Hoa City will create favorable conditions for economic, cultural and social development; planning and development space will no longer be divided and fragmented, helping the infrastructure system in localities to be synchronously connected, contributing to the completion of the city's overall planning work in the coming years. At the same time, it will improve the material and spiritual life of the people, promoting comprehensive economic development.
