Ho Chi Minh City - Thuan An Ward is rearranging business areas at Bung Market and deploying the "Market 4.0" model here.

On June 10, the Thuan An Ward Public Service Supply Center said that it had coordinated with units to organize a conference to collect opinions on the price of using sales area at Bung Market and deploy the "Digital Market 4.0" model in 2026.

At the conference, Mr. Huynh Minh Triet - Director of the Thuan An Ward Public Service Supply Center informed small traders about the plan to rearrange and redefine the area of lots and stalls, suitable to the specific characteristics of each industry (fresh food, dried goods, clothing, fruit...).

Thereby, to optimize space, thoroughly solve the situation of encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks. At the same time, strictly ensure regulations on fire prevention and fighting and environmental sanitation. Create favorable conditions for small traders to do business and trade in the market area.

According to the leader of the Thuan An Ward Public Service Supply Center, rearranging the sales area and applying digital technology at Bung Market is an inevitable step to build a civilized and safe market; based on the principle of harmonizing interests between the State and the people.

At the program, small traders contributed opinions and expressed their thoughts and aspirations about the plan to rearrange this long-standing traditional market. In addition, small traders hope that the new allocation plan will ensure fairness, transparency and timely technical support when switching to the digital market model to stabilize long-term livelihoods.

On this occasion, representatives of the Ward Youth Union introduced the "Digital Market 4.0" model; guiding small traders to install banking apps to make cashless payments when doing business and trading.

It is known that Bung Market is one of the oldest traditional markets in the Binh Duong market area. The market is located on DT 745 road (old National Highway 13) in Thuan An ward. The market went into operation from about 1903 to now.
