Da Nang - Horrifying landslides in mountainous areas, burying trucks, rescue forces face difficulties due to heavy rain.

While traveling through a landslide in the mountainous commune of Phuoc Thanh (Da Nang), a truck providing food was suddenly buried by hundreds of cubic meters of rock and soil. The driver was lucky to open the door to escape.

Mr. Ho Van Phuc - Vice Chairman of Phuoc Thanh Commune People's Committee - confirmed that the above incident occurred at around 5am on October 27, in village 2, Phuoc Thanh commune.

At that time, the truck (license plate unknown) of the Q.L merchant household (residing in Kham Duc commune, Da Nang) was on its way from Phuoc Thanh commune to Kham Duc. When the vehicle reached the mountain slope in village 2, hundreds of cubic meters of rock and soil from the positive slope suddenly collapsed.

The incident happened so quickly that the driver did not have time to react. The truck was immediately pushed into the mud and buried more than half of the body in rocks and soil. Fortunately, the driver promptly opened the escape door and narrowly escaped death.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities mobilized excavators to the scene to level the rock and soil. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions and prolonged heavy rain, rescue work is facing many difficulties. The truck in distress has not yet been cleared from the scene.
