On May 6, Nha Trang City People's Committee held a meeting to discuss solutions to deal with the situation of aquaculture cages combined with food and beverage business in Nha Trang Bay.
Currently, the Nha Trang City government is tightening the operations of floating food businesses in Nha Trang Bay.
For this type, Mr. Tran Minh Chien - Chairman of Nha Trang City has directed Vinh Nguyen ward to coordinate with Nha Trang Bay Management Board to strengthen propaganda and inspection.
The locality requires rafts without a food service business license to stop trading. For rafts allowed to operate, a commitment must be signed to fully comply with relevant regulations.
Previously, some tourists reported that seafood rafts in Nha Trang Bay were reported selling food at high prices.

Through inspection, the authorities determined that this raft was not qualified to do food and beverage business, and required the raft owner to stop receiving guests.
The inspection team worked with Mr. P.V.L - the owner of seafood rafts in the Tri Nguyen island area. Initially, it was determined that this was a seafood raft, not a facility licensed to operate food and beverage services according to the law.
The People's Committee of the ward has asked Mr. L. to immediately stop picking up guests to eat and drink until the necessary procedures and conditions have been completed.
According to Mr. L. and his wife's report, on the afternoon of May 2, the H.H canoe took two tourists from Hanoi to the raft for lunch.
Diners choose dishes such as boxed beef, squid, fried rice... Mr. L. affirmed that he had clearly quoted prices before processing the dish, in which boxed beef is priced at 3.5 million VND/kg, 950,000 VND/kg.
The tourists agreed and had a meal, then paid and left the raft. However, later, one of the two tourists posted an article on social media saying that the price of the dishes on the raft was too high.
Mr. L. said that he had proactively contacted customers, refunded 30% of the total bill and the two sides agreed not to complain further. The social media post has also been removed.
