After 3 months of lightning-fast construction, the 1C parking area of the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project officially put into operation from April 16, 2026, setting a record for construction progress in the history of Vietnamese aviation infrastructure.
With a scale of 5 new parking positions, parking lot 1C is being deployed at an "unprecedented" speed, in just 3 months from the start of construction. Compared to the construction process for similar items at other airports that usually last from 9 to 12 months, the progress in Phu Quoc has been shortened by 2/3 of the time.

To do this, the investor Sun Group and contractors mobilized maximum manpower, constructing throughout 3 shifts and 4 teams, turning the construction site into a "sleepless city" in the context of material prices and logistics costs skyrocketing due to global geopolitical fluctuations.
With a total assigned implementation time of 18 months, the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project is one of the key projects to serve APEC 2027. The fact that the 1C apron reached the finish line on schedule, along with auxiliary items under the project continuously exceeding the schedule, is the result of a methodical construction process and internal implementation capacity.
With this pace of progress, the "Phu Quoc miracle" is gradually becoming a reality, establishing new standards of speed and quality in infrastructure investment in Vietnam, contributing to making Phu Quoc one of the new aviation, tourism and event centers of the world.
