Thanh Hoa - In 2024, the number of officials and civil servants quitting their jobs has decreased significantly compared to previous years, mainly because the basic salary has increased.

On December 5, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Home Affairs of Thanh Hoa province said that as of early December 2024, there had been no cases of civil servants resigning or transferring jobs in the province.

“Currently, the province has about 3,700 civil servants and nearly 60,000 public employees. In 2023, there were more than 80 cases of civil servants resigning. However, according to the update, in 2024, there were no cases of civil servants or public employees resigning,” informed a representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Home Affairs.

According to the representative of Thanh Hoa Department of Home Affairs, compared to previous years, the number of civil servants quitting their jobs was somewhat higher. The reason was that in the years when the COVID-19 pandemic was complicated, the workload was large, while income from salary was not high. Up to now, the number of civil servants quitting their jobs in the area is very small.

The reason is that in 2024, the basic salary increased to 2.34 million VND, the lives of officials and civil servants are more secure. In fact, during the year, there were cases where there were applications for early retirement, but after the basic salary increased, the applications were withdrawn.

In some recruitment cases, after being selected, the employee submits a resignation letter, this is also normal because they have many reasons, choosing another more suitable job.

Typically, at the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Thanh Hoa province recently, this unit issued a decision to cancel the results of civil servant recruitment for 3 cases of units under this Department.

The three cases include: T.T.M.H (30 years old), the successful job position is Accountant of the Forestry Sub-Department; L.Q.V (35 years old), the job position is Level III forest management and protection, Song Chang Protective Forest Management Board; N.S.H (41 years old), the job position is Level III forest management and protection, Thuong Xuan Protective Forest Management Board.

Previously, all three cases had a list of successful candidates approved in Decision 18.10.2024 of the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa. However, after the results of the selection were announced, these cases submitted an application for incomplete documents to receive the job, with the reason being that the workplace was far away, not suitable for the circumstances and family conditions. After that, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa issued a decision, with the reason for canceling the selection results being because the officials did not complete the documents as prescribed.
