The Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) received information reflecting on social networks about school violence occurring against a group of students at Vinh Quang - Thanh Luong Secondary School (Vinh Bao commune).
The Department of Education and Training requests Vinh Bao Commune People's Committee to direct professional departments to coordinate with the Commune Police, schools and related student families to fully inspect and verify the content of the case according to their authority. Along with that, implement child protection measures according to regulations; promptly intervene, provide psychological support, and ensure safety for affected students (if any).
The commune government directed the school to clearly review the responsibilities of relevant collectives and individuals, propose disciplinary action (if any) according to their authority. At the same time, focus on reviewing, taking preventive measures and directing educational institutions in the area to do well in school psychological counseling, prevention of school violence and life skills education for students; summarize the results of verification and handling of the case and send a written report to the Department of Education and Training no later than May 29.
Vinh Quang - Thanh Luong Secondary School proactively coordinates with the police agency, local authorities and families of related students to verify and clarify the entire diễn biến of the incident. Through verification, D. T. T. N (born in 2009, residing in hamlet 4 An Quy, Vinh Hai commune) presented that she was the person who directly beat T in the video, N.T. T (born in 2009, residing in Ha Dong hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune, Hai Phong city) was the person who filmed the video. In addition, there were also 2 people watching. The police agency summoned N.T. T and D. T. T. N to work.
On the afternoon of May 25, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the family of female student D. D.T said that on the afternoon of May 21, the family admitted T. to the hospital for monitoring. Today, T. was discharged from the hospital and returned home. According to the family, after the family sent a petition to the authorities, the families of 2 children N.T. T and D. T. T. N also came to apologize for the incident. The family of victim D. D.T also requested the authorities to handle it in accordance with the law.
