Speaking at the 6th Advanced Typical Conference (2025-2030) towards the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Finance Sector - 2025, organized by Vietnam Social Insurance, Director of Vietnam Social Insurance Le Hung Son affirmed the importance of emulation and reward work.
Vietnam Social Insurance has focused on promoting the implementation of the Party and State's policies and directives on emulation and reward work, considering this a driving force to increase productivity, quality of organization, and implementation of social security policies.
According to Vietnam Social Insurance, by the end of the 2021-2025 period, the number of social insurance participants is estimated to reach about 21.530 million people, an increase of about 5.3 million participants compared to the end of the 2016-2020 period, accounting for 45.2% of the age-old labor force, exceeding 0.2% of the age-old labor force participating in social insurance by 2025 compared to the target set in Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW on reforming social insurance policies.
The number of people participating in health insurance in 2025 is estimated to reach 97.57 million people, accounting for 95.2% of the population, exceeding the target set in Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Executive Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation.
The total revenue from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance has increased continuously over the years, with the revenue from each year higher than the previous year and all reaching or exceeding the target compared to the plan assigned by the Government.
The work of resolving social insurance and health insurance regimes and policies for participants has always been implemented correctly - sufficiently - promptly by social insurance agencies at all levels, ensuring the provisions of law.
Representatives of typical advanced collectives and individuals presented a number of presentations and practical lessons in the process of implementing tasks such as: Solutions to expand coverage of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance on the roadmap towards the goal of social insurance, health insurance for all people; Proactively advise on proposals to amend and supplement the Law on Social Insurance; Promote digital transformation, research and development of information technology systems...
At the Conference, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang praised and acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the entire Vietnam Social Insurance system, as well as outstanding collectives and individuals.
Regarding key tasks in the coming period, Deputy Minister Bui Van Khang suggested that the Vietnam Social Insurance system continue to promote the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres, party members, and leaders in participating in emulation movements associated with performing tasks.
Continue to pay attention to promoting the work of: developing social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance participants; communication policy work to ensure flexibility, creativity, and diversity; strengthening administrative procedure reform, applying information technology, digital transformation; focusing on researching, implementing connections, and connecting specialized data systems on social insurance, health insurance with units under the Ministry of Finance and relevant ministries and branches...
At the conference, authorized by the Prime Minister, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit in recognition of the outstanding achievements of Vietnam Social Insurance in the work and activities of the patriotic emulation movement in 2023.
