"Currently, many points and areas of landslides are increasingly spreading and spiraling deeper towards the dike, making people worried that their houses, properties, fields and gardens will collapse into the river bed," said Mr. Thang, a household living near the river. Lo River is worried.

From 2021 until now, the landslide area has a length of about 700m, a depth of 20-30m, the landslide area is about nearly 2 hectares out of a total of about 60 hectares of agricultural land outside the beach area of Khoai Trung village, Duc Bac commune, Song Lo district.
The agricultural land in the area where this landslide occurred mainly grows banana flowers, corn, peanuts, beans... This is fund 2 land managed by the People's Committee of Duc Bac commune and has now been assigned to households.
Faced with the above situation, the Chairman of Song Lo District People's Committee has just sent a written report to the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, requesting urgent handling of the riverbank landslide incident.
Accordingly, in Song Lo district, the area easily affected and damaged by natural disasters is the riverbank, especially the area through Duc Bac commune with a narrow cross-section and steep riverbank slopes in many locations. position, the main stream approaches the shore causing strong landslides.
The landslide phenomenon started in 2021 and was strong during the rainy and flood season of 2022-2023. After that, the landslide area spread with a length of about 700m of the eroded riverbank, extending inward towards the base of the dike by 20 to 30 meters, it is estimated that the area of agricultural land lost to landslides is about 2 hectares.
While waiting for the province's direction, the People's Committee of Song Lo district directed functional units and Duc Bac commune to post warning signs, zone and prevent people and vehicles from entering the landslide area.
At the same time, relevant parties set up marker posts and boundary markers to monitor landslide developments; proactively relocate residents to ensure the safety of people's lives and property when necessary; warn and widely notify about the incident situation to all people living in the affected area.
