On August 7, the General Hospital of the Central Highlands reported that two patients are being treated for severe traffic accidents that occurred on the night of August 6.
The two patients are: Lê Huy H (41 years old, residing in Gia Lai Province) and Trương Hùng C (32 years old, residing in Đồng Tháp Province).
The patients were brought in with multiple injuries to the head, hands, feet, and chest. After consultation, the patients underwent emergency surgery, and their health has since stabilized.
Ms. Nguyễn Hoài Phương (a relative of Mr. H) stated: “Last night, upon receiving news of my husband's accident, I immediately boarded a vehicle from Gia Lai to come here. My husband was driving to Đắk Lắk to transport durians for hire when the accident occurred.”
Similarly, patient C has just undergone surgery, with his left foot bandaged and his face bruised in several places. The patient is still traumatized by the accident that occurred on August 6.
As reported by Lao Động, a series of accidents involving a truck and two cargo trucks on the Buôn Hồ bypass road resulted in three fatalities and three injuries.
The accident occurred at 20h15 on August 6 in Ea Drơng Commune, Cư M'gar District, Đắk Lắk Province. The consequences of the accident resulted in three fatalities and three injuries.
All the victims mentioned above were durian buyers. They were on their way to work when the accident occurred.
At the time of the accident, driver Huỳnh Minh Đạt (54 years old), residing in Gia Lai Province, was driving a truck with license plate 82H-018.04, towing a trailer with license plate 81R- 010.83, traveling on the Buôn Hồ bypass road from Gia Lai to Đắk Lắk.
When the truck reached the Ea Drơng Commune area, it stopped due to a technical issue. After stopping for approximately 5 minutes, a truck with license plate 81C- 239.11, driven by L.H.H (41 years old), residing in Gia Lai Province, approached and stopped behind the truck; however, it was unable to change lanes due to an oncoming vehicle.
At this point, the truck with license plate 81C- 239.11 was struck by a truck with license plate 60H-047.00, driven by P.X.Ch (residing in Bảo Lộc City, Lâm Đồng Province), from behind.
As a result, the collision caused the death of driver Ch at the scene, and drivers V and H died en route to the hospital for emergency treatment. Additionally, the accident resulted in three other people being injured and transported to the General Hospital of the Central Highlands for emergency treatment.
At the accident site, the front ends of the two trucks, 81C- 239. 11 and 60H-047.00, were severely damaged, and the truck's rear section was lightly damaged.
