Regarding the regulation on collecting transaction processing fees for customers using ePass traffic accounts linked to Viettel Money wallets (including individuals and businesses), on August 19, Viettel Money changed the fee calculation method compared to the previous announcement (July 26, 2026).
Accordingly, the public announcement on the Viettel Money website shows that transaction processing fees only apply to accounts that generated vehicle trips through BOT stations in the previous month (January 1).
If in the determined period the vehicle fee does not pass through the station, the account holder will not be deducted this fee.

According to Viettel Money, the above fee contributes to maintaining and upgrading the technology infrastructure, operating and controlling transactions in real time, enhancing security and service quality.
For individual customers, the maximum number can be registered is 5 vehicles/account. For customers who are organizations/businesses, there is no limit on the number of registered vehicles/accounts", Viettel Money's announcement stated.
According to Viettel Money, the fee collection policy is applied in the form of a monthly package, helping customers proactively manage service usage costs with a fixed fee instead of arising from each transaction.
The entire fee is collected by Viettel Money, electronic invoices are made and declared in accordance with the law.
Regarding the concern that each linked vehicle is charged a fee, contacting the hotline number of Vietnam Digital Transport Joint Stock Company (ePass), the consultant affirmed that the fee of 6,600 VND/month for individuals and 66,000 VND/month for organizations/businesses will be applied according to accounts, not calculated according to the number of registered vehicles.
In addition, in addition to Viettel Money wallet, ePass users can choose many payment methods, such as MoMo e-wallet, international cards (Visa/Mastercard), bank accounts... (each payment method has different regulations on the incurred fee).
Regarding VETC wallets, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, a VETC representative affirmed that account management fees do not apply to all vehicles that have been affixed with tags.
The enterprise currently has nearly 5 million VETC tags carriers. Among these, about 2.6 million VETC e-wallets have completed identification, linked bank accounts and are subject to fees.
Regarding the fee of 66,000 VND/month for corporate customers, VETC said that this amount is also calculated according to the wallet account, not according to the number of vehicles.
Thus, a business with hundreds of vehicles, but using a common wallet account, only has to pay 66,000 VND/month.
According to VETC, the fee for business accounts is higher than for personal accounts because this customer group has a large trading volume, and at the same time generates a higher need for reconciliation, reporting and specialized support.
