On January 20, Tuyen Son Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, injuring a traffic police officer.
According to initial information, at 3:12 PM on the same day, a traffic patrol and control team of 5 officers, led by Captain Nguyen Anh Tuan as team leader, was on duty on the Ho Chi Minh road. When arriving at Km851, passing through Tan Ap village, Tuyen Son commune, Senior Lieutenant Phan Lam Phuong signaled to stop motorbike license plate 38AA-293.93, carrying 3 people, traveling in the North - South direction.
However, when receiving the signal to stop the vehicle, the motorbike rushed straight, directly colliding with Senior Lieutenant Phan Lam Phuong, causing this officer to be thrown to the left side of the road, and the motorbike fell to the side of the road.
As a result, Senior Lieutenant Phan Lam Phuong suffered a broken left femur and pelvis, was taken to Huong Khe Hospital (Ha Tinh) for first aid, then transferred to Hue Central Hospital for emergency treatment, and 3 people on the motorbike suffered minor scratches.
Immediately after the incident occurred, functional forces were present at the scene to take the victims to the emergency room, protect the scene and regulate traffic.
The case has been reported for settlement according to regulations.
