On January 13, Dak Lak provincial authorities said they are investigating and clarifying the cause of a traffic accident on Ho Chi Minh Road that killed one person.
Initial information, at about 6:55 pm on January 11, Mr. N.N.T.D (resident of Ea Phe commune, Dak Lak province) was driving a motorbike on the Ho Chi Minh road in the direction from Buon Ho ward to Buon Ma Thuot ward.
When arriving at Km 1739, passing through Buon Ho ward (Dak Lak province), the motorbike driven by Mr. D collided with the rear of a pickup truck traveling in the same direction ahead.
The collision caused Mr. D to fall to the road. Immediately after that, Mr. D.C.D (resident of Buon Ma Thuot ward) driving a car was overtaking a car in the same direction forward to the left when he continued to collide with Mr. D's motorbike.
As a result, Mr. D was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room but died at Buon Ho General Hospital.
