On January 8, according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, contractors are focusing on accelerating the construction of phase 2 of the social housing project in Thach Linh ward (old), now Thanh Sen ward.
Mr. Tran Quoc Thang - technical officer of Thanh Linh Company - present at the construction site said that the unit focuses on accelerating progress with 3 shifts, 4 crews, many days constructing until 11 pm.
According to Mr. Thang, there are 3 contractors focusing on building construction. In which, each contractor has more than 100 workers constructing on the construction site.
According to the progress assigned by the investor, by the end of January 2026, 2 platforms will be constructed, and by this time, 2 contractors have already constructed platform 2. This ensures the assigned progress," Mr. Thang shared.
Previously, on August 19, 2025, the investor, the Ha Tinh Development Investment Fund, organized the groundbreaking ceremony of phase 2 of the social housing project in Thanh Sen ward with the construction of a project with a total floor area of more than 46,200 m2, total investment capital of 550 billion VND.
The project includes 3 12-story buildings with more than 500 apartments; 41 3-story commercial housing units with transportation, greenery, sports playgrounds, parking lots and other technical infrastructure according to the plan.
Previously, phase 1 of the project had completed the construction of 480 apartments belonging to 3 11-story buildings.
Implementing the Project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments by 2030 approved by the Government, according to the Ministry of Construction, in 2025 Ha Tinh was assigned to complete the construction of 200 units. However, as a result in 2025, Ha Tinh did not have any completed social housing units.
On January 8, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ha - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Provincial Department of Construction - said that in 2025, Ha Tinh has started phase 2 of the social housing project in the old Thach Linh ward with a scale of more than 500 units. Currently, contractors are focusing on accelerating construction progress.
Mr. Ha explained that in 2025, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee did not register the target of completing 200 social housing units. Implementing the Project to build at least 1 million social housing units by 2030 nationwide by the Government, Ha Tinh determined that by 2030 it will ensure the completion of the number of 3,700 units according to the assigned target of the Project.
Also according to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ha, on January 6, the People's Committee of Tran Phu ward (Ha Tinh province) in coordination with the investor Phuc Dat Ha Tinh Co., Ltd. announced decisions approving detailed planning and management regulations according to the social housing project planning project.
According to the plan, the project is implemented in Doai Thinh residential group, Tran Phu ward with a total planned area of 59,825.6 m2; total construction area of 17,876 m2. The project includes 5 social housing buildings of 15 floors and 1 commercial building of 15 floors, meeting the expected population size of about 6,010 people.
The project will start construction from March 2026, and is expected to complete one building by the end of this year; in 2027, 2 social housing buildings will be completed.
The Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Department of Construction said that previously, when phase 1 of the social housing project in Thach Linh ward was completed, the demand for housing registration was very low, and it had to be sold 11 times to sell out.
However, after real estate "fever" and residential land prices increased sharply, the demand for social housing increased sharply. Ha Tinh is focusing on completing projects and actively attracting more social housing projects to meet the needs of low-income people.
