Lao Dong Newspaper once had an article "Slazy scene at a park worth more than 200 billion VND in Hanoi" reflecting the situation that many items inside Ngoc Thuy Park are seriously degraded due to not being cleaned for a long time. The walkway surrounding the park is filled with garbage and weeds.
On January 12, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Hau - Director of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Bo De Ward said that the ward has carried out general cleaning inside the park and renovated all existing inadequacies according to Lao Dong Newspaper's reflection.
According to the official, because Ngoc Thuy Park has not been maintained and maintained for a long time, the ward will gradually overcome it in stages.
We are conducting a general cleaning of the entire system, renovating the green tree system and walking paths. The work is continuously deployed, both on Saturdays and Sundays. It is expected that by January 15, we will basically overcome the existing inadequacies" - Mr. Hau informed.
According to Lao Dong's records on the afternoon of January 12, inside Ngoc Thuy Park, dozens of environmental workers are cutting down trees, clearing grass, and renovating some items. Many patches of grass and shrubs along the lake have been cleared and neatly pruned, helping the space inside the park to be more airy than before.
However, the walkway surrounding the park is still filled with garbage. It is expected that this area will be cleared tomorrow, January 13.
Mr. Hoang Van Anh (Bo De ward, Hanoi) said that recently, environmental sanitation workers regularly come to clean up, collect garbage, and prune green trees inside Ngoc Thuy Park. According to Mr. Anh, this change helps the park's appearance become more spacious and cleaner than before.
If in the past, trees and grass died and garbage was littered along the lake path, now this area is much cleaner and more beautiful. Hopefully, in the near future, the damaged items inside the park will be repaired so that people can rest assured to play and exercise" - Mr. Anh said.
Ms. Nguyen Hue (Bo De ward, Hanoi) also feels happy that Ngoc Thuy Park has been renovated and clean again. According to Ms. Hue, clean and tidy parks not only improve urban aesthetics but also create healthy community living spaces, attracting people to play.
Hopefully, maintenance and repair work will not only be carried out on a daily or two-day basis but will be maintained regularly" - Ms. Hue said.
Ngoc Thuy Park project was started in December 2022 and completed in early October 2023. The project has a total investment of nearly 208 billion VND and is built on a land area of 6.86ha.
The project's items are invested synchronously including: regulating lake, park, flower garden combined with public space and technical infrastructure, social infrastructure.
At the time of its initial operation, Ngoc Thuy Park was expected to contribute to creating architectural highlights and urban landscapes; creating a green - clean - beautiful - modern space; promising to be a playground, organizing cultural, artistic, physical and sports activities regularly, meeting the increasing cultural and spiritual needs of the people.
