On August 19, the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms of Kon Ka Kinh National Park coordinated with the Mang Yang Regional Forest Protection Department to re-release 24 endangered, precious, and rare forest animal individuals back to nature.
The re-release includes many species on the list of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals belonging to groups IB and IIB such as: golden mountain turtle, bordered mountain turtle, red-faced macaque, ivory, small culi, large earth turtle, velvet python, Java pangolin and long-tailed macaque.
All of the above animals were received by the Center in July 2026 through voluntary handover by people and the coordination of functional agencies in Gia Lai province.
After a period of care, inspection and monitoring, all 24 individuals were identified as having good health, restoring their natural instincts and being able to survive.
Releasing endangered and rare animal species contributes to restoring the species population and protecting biodiversity in Kon Ka Kinh National Park.
