According to Hai Duong Provincial Police, at about 1:57 p.m. on December 31, 2024, at Km 0+200 of Provincial Road 392, Zone 1, Ke Sat Town (Binh Giang District, Hai Duong Province), a traffic accident occurred between a car with license plate 34A-707.56 driven by Mr. V.D.H (born in 1972, residing in Cay Village, Long Xuyen Commune, Binh Giang District, Hai Duong Province) in the direction from Phu to Ke Sat, crashed into the funeral theater of Mr. D.V.T (born in 1967, residing in Zone 1, Ke Sat Town, Binh Giang District). The theater was set up on the traffic road in front of the house.
Accordingly, 5 injured people were taken to hospital for treatment; property damage was estimated at about 15 million VND.
Initial investigation determined that the driver's lack of observation led to the crash into the theater. It is known that Mr. V.D.H is the Chief Inspector of Binh Giang District.
The traffic accident is being verified and investigated to be handled according to the provisions of law.
Before the above incident, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, Head of Hai Duong Provincial Traffic Safety Committee - issued a document directing units and functions to urgently handle the car accident that crashed into a funeral theater in Ke Sat town, Binh Giang (Hai Duong).
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province assigned the Hai Duong Provincial Police to direct the Binh Giang District Police and related agencies and units to urgently investigate and strictly handle violators according to the law.
Binh Giang District People's Committee urgently clarified and considered the responsibility of organizations and individuals involved in allowing people to set up funeral tents on the street.
