On August 5, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that at about 5:30 a.m. the same day, the unit received a report of a serious traffic accident on the North-South Expressway, passing through Km 366+850, in Truc Lam Ward, Thanh Hoa Province.
The accident occurred between a tractor-trailer with license plate 15C-168.xx pulling a trailer 15R-090.xx and a tractor-trailer with license plate 98C-266.xx pulling a trailer 89R-017.xx. The consequences caused driver P.X.T (born in 1986, from Yen Khanh, Ninh Binh province) driving the 15C-168.xx car to die on the spot, trapped in the cabin.
After receiving the information, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 2 quickly dispatched forces and vehicles to the scene to carry out rescue work. At the scene, the tractor-trailer cabin was deformed, the space was narrow, and the victim was trapped inside.
In the face of the above situation, the rescue force deployed a professional plan, using hydraulic cutting equipment, excavators, and specialized lifting devices to expand the space, approach the body, and bring the victim out.
After more than 1 hour, the victim's body was removed from the cabin and handed over to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated and clarified.
