Ba Be Commune People's Committee has just issued a notice temporarily suspending all entertainment activities on the water surface of Ba Be Lake and Nang River.
The temporary suspension is to ensure safety for people and tourists in the context of complicated weather developments.
Through the review of functional agencies, recreational activities on the water surface currently do not fully meet the safety conditions according to the provisions of law.
The notice clearly states that from July 7 until further notice, all activities such as: kayaking, standing paddleboarding (SUP), using boats, rafts, swimming, diving, jumping into the water as well as all recreational, sports, and experiential activities on the water surface of Ba Be Lake and Nang River are strictly prohibited without permission from competent authorities or without ensuring safety conditions.
For organizations and individuals operating waterway passenger transport, the Commune People's Committee requests strict compliance with regulations on waterway traffic safety.
Only put vehicles into operation when they fully meet the conditions according to regulations; fully equip life jackets, life-saving equipment, guide passengers to use safety equipment and absolutely not operate when the weather is unfavorable or there is a request to stop operating from functional agencies.
