The inter-sectoral inspection team on food safety of An Lao commune inspects the compliance with food safety regulations at Minh Tuan Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. (Bach Phuong village), Manh Hoach fresh chicken facility (Van Trang 1 village), Phu Quy Restaurant (An Trang village) and An Lao market.
Through inspection, Minh Tuan Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. still has some shortcomings such as: food preliminary processing activities not in accordance with the content of the business registration certificate; preliminary processing area not meeting food safety and hygiene requirements; employees are not fully equipped with protective equipment; fire prevention and fighting records have expired; some small-scale products do not have labels as prescribed.
At Manh Hoach fresh chicken facility, due to the facility owner's absence, the team inspected the kitchen area and requested the facility owner to work with the team to continue the inspection according to regulations.
At Phu Quy Restaurant, at the time of inspection, the establishment did not serve customers; according to the establishment owner, business operations have been temporarily suspended recently due to few customers. The delegation inspected the legal documents and food safety assurance conditions of the establishment.
At An Lao market, the team took samples to quickly inspect some spring rolls and sausages; the results showed no borax detected.
Representatives of the inspection team requested the establishments to seriously overcome the shortcomings that have been pointed out. Regarding Minh Tuan Investment and Trading Co., Ltd., the team requested to temporarily suspend food pre-processing operations until all conditions are fully met and licensed by competent authorities according to regulations. The Market Management Board strengthens inspection of the origin of goods, requests households trading in ripe food to strictly comply with regulations on food preservation, fire prevention and fighting and sign commitments to ensure food safety.
