Swimming in Kien Giang River, a nephew drowned

    Quang Tri - While swimming in the Kien Giang River, a boy in Le Thuy commune unfortunately drowned after jumping from a tree.

    On the evening of April 3, Le Thuy Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that at about 5:30 pm on the same day, Nguyen Thien N (born 2011, residing in Tuy Loc village, Le Thuy commune) went to swim in the Kien Giang River.

    During the bathing, N climbed a tree by the riverbank and jumped into the water, unfortunately drowning. Discovering the incident, people organized a search and brought the victim ashore, but he died.

    Immediately after receiving the information, Le Thuy commune police were present at the scene, inspected and determined that the cause was drowning.

    The victim's family did not request an autopsy and has committed to the authorities. The victim's body was then handed over to the family for burial according to regulations.
