According to initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. on September 18, a group of 8 students from Thinh Lang Secondary School went to the Da River bank in Group 7, Hoa Binh Ward to swim.
At this time, N.D.H (born in 2011, residing in group 9, Hoa Binh ward) - a 9th grade student at Thinh Lang Secondary School - drowned because he could not swim.
Immediately after receiving the information, local authorities and functional forces were present at the scene of the incident to search for the victim.
By 5:00 p.m. the same day, the victim's body was found and procedures were being carried out according to regulations.
Previously, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Ward had placed warning signs, increased propaganda and organized patrols at spontaneous river bathing spots. However, many people have not complied, leading to the above incident.
