On the afternoon of March 20, at a regular press conference on the socio-economic situation, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Deputy Head of the Department of Transport Management, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, said that the unit had advised the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to issue a plan to strengthen the work of ensuring order and traffic safety for road transport business activities. This plan assigns tasks to departments, branches, districts and Thu Duc City.

The Department has also announced the driving routes of fixed inter-provincial passenger cars. For transport vehicles from provinces and cities passing through Ho Chi Minh City, traffic will be diverted on national highways. The Department will continue to monitor and update adjustments in accordance with the actual situation.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Transport is assigned to review and update the list of stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations to inform the City Police, Thu Duc City People's Committee and districts for handling.

Currently, data from journey monitoring devices and driver image recording devices is managed by the Traffic Police. Patrol, control and administrative sanctions are under the authority of the Traffic Police. The Cong Chanh Department of Transport has stopped handling violations via cameras since January 1, 2025 and transferred them to the traffic police.

The Cong Chanh Department of Transport will continue to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police to share data from the traffic camera system, journey monitoring equipment and driver image recording equipment to serve management work.
