Cat Lai Port - Phu Huu Inter-R road
The Cat Lai - Phu Huu inter- port route is 6 km long, with a road surface of 60m, with 12 lanes. This route will start from Nguyen Thi Dinh Street and end at Ring Road 3, and at the same time build a complete intersection at the intersection with Ring Road 3.
The project has a total investment of more than VND 8,700 billion under the form of public-private partnership (PPP) and is prioritized for implementation before 2030.

When completed, this route will become a specialized traffic axis, directly connecting the Cat Lai - Phu Huu port cluster with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway and Ring Road 3; at the same time, the project will help reduce traffic on Nguyen Thi Dinh, Nguyen Duy Trinh and Ring Road 2 routes, contributing to thoroughly solving the congestion around the port area.
The route connecting Hanoi Highway - Ring Road 3
The project connecting Hanoi Highway with Ring Road 3 is 6km long, 107 - 120m wide, with a scale of 12 lanes.
The route extends from Tram 2 intersection (Thu Duc City) to Ring Road 3, and at the same time plans Go Cong intersection to become a modern 4-storey intersection.

The total estimated investment of this project is more than VND 8,500 billion, of which the cost of site clearance is about VND 4,498 billion. Ho Chi Minh City will implement it under the PPP form, with priority given to implementation before 2030.
When completed, this route will connect Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3, contributing to reducing traffic pressure, while promoting socio-economic development in Thu Duc City and surrounding areas.
Closing Ring Road 2
It is expected that in September 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will start construction of two sections of Ring Road 2 in Thu Duc City, including: the section from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street 3.5km long) and the section from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street 2.8km long).
The total investment for these two sections is more than VND13,800 billion, of which the cost of site clearance accounts for about VND7,500 billion.

Currently, Thu Duc City has paid about 3,000 billion VND for compensation and support for people. Thu Duc City plans to complete compensation payments and hand over the site in the second quarter of 2025.
When completed, this route will be interconnected with major traffic axes, contributing to the completion of the East transport network, increasing connections to Cat Lai and Truong Tho ports...
Expanding the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway
The 4km long Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2) will be expanded from 4 to 8 lanes, while upgrading Muong Kenh Bridge and Do Xuan Hop overpass.
Due to no land clearance problems, the project has a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND from the Ho Chi Minh City budget. The project will start construction in September 2025 and be completed in 2026.

In addition, the Ministry of Construction will expand the expressway section from Ring Road 2 to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway with a total capital of about VND15,000 billion.
In particular, the section from Ring Road 2 to Ring Road 3 will be upgraded to 8 lanes, the section from Ring Road 3 to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau intersection will be expanded to 10 lanes. This project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed in December 2026.
