At the end of January 2025, on National Highway 70, from Phuc Long Hydropower Plant leading to Phuc Khanh Commune, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded the bustling activities of workers in construction, bringing the road to the finish line soon.
At the construction site, many trucks, rollers and excavators are compacting the roadbed and leveling the soil.
It is known that the main road leading to Phuc Khanh commune, which has been seriously degraded for many years, was especially affected by storms and floods. Therefore, when the local government invested in upgrading it, it brought great joy to the people here.
Housed next to the road being upgraded, Ms. Dang Thi Hoa (Tong Vuong village, Phuc Khanh commune) excitedly said: “Previously, the road from National Highway 70 leading to Phuc Khanh commune was muddy and extremely difficult to travel, especially during the storms and floods in September. Now, with the government's investment, we, the people, are very excited.
Although the road is still under construction, many sections of the ground have been completed, and the construction team has laid a layer of paving stones, making the road much easier to travel than before. We hope the construction team will soon complete the road so that people's travel will become more convenient."
Not only Ms. Dang Thi Hoa, but many people living along the road hope that the upgrade and renovation will be completed soon and put into use so that people in Phuc Khanh commune can travel faster and safer.
Mr. Tran Van Hung, a resident of Phuc Khanh commune, shared: "We have waited a long time to see this road upgraded. Now, traveling is easier, and our agricultural products can be brought to the market more quickly and conveniently."
Along with that, the early completion of the road in Phuc Khanh commune not only brings about changes in the traffic appearance but also motivates people to make more efforts in labor and production. Thereby helping to improve the lives and economy of local people.
Through research, the road project to the center of Phuc Khanh commune was approved by the People's Committee of Bao Yen district in October 2022 with a total investment capital of 28 billion VND.
The project will be implemented within 3 years, and will be constructed by Minh Duc General Construction Company Limited.
On January 23, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Le Quang Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Bao Yen District Construction Investment Project Management Board said: "At the road construction project to the center of Phuc Khanh commune, the construction unit is currently mobilizing more than 40 workers, rollers, excavators, aggregate spreaders, and asphalt concrete spreading machines to speed up the progress. We strive to complete and hand over for use in the first quarter of 2025."
