On the morning of June 17, at La Gi port, Lam Dong province, a fishing boat sank while returning to shore after a night of seafood fishing. According to initial information, the fishing boat numbered BTh 84451 TS, with a capacity of 36CV, 9.2m long, had 2 workers on board.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 16, the ship captained by Mr. Dang Thanh Huong (born 1978) departed from La Gi port to engage in drift net fishing.
On the morning of June 17, when moving into the La Gi port area, the fishing boat suddenly ran aground. At the time of the incident, the strong current caused the vehicle to tilt and then capsize on the spot.
2 crew members quickly jumped off the ship and swam ashore. The incident did not cause any casualties.
After the ship sank, the vehicle owner was present at the scene to check the situation and coordinate with functional forces to develop a plan to salvage the ship in the near future.
