On the afternoon of November 28, Mr. Truong Minh Vu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cong Hai commune (old Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan) - confirmed that a fishing boat had just sunk in Binh Tien beach, causing 3 fishermen to go missing, and 2 others were lucky to swim to shore.
According to Mr. Vu, currently, the authorities are mobilizing maximum means and human resources to participate in the search for the fishermen in distress.
Initial information on the evening of November 27, the NT 90329 TS ship, captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1976, residing in residential group 28, Dong Hai ward), had 4 workers on board who worked as net drivers.
While en route to the shore to avoid the storm, the vehicle encountered large waves, strong winds and sank in the waters of Binh Tien.
After the accident, the two fishermen swam to shore safely. The remaining three fishermen are still out of contact.
In the early morning of November 28, the Binh Tien Working Group (Vinh Hai Border Guard Station, Khanh Hoa Border Guard) received a report that fishing boat NT 90329 TS had sunk about 300m from shore.
As soon as the information was received, Vinh Hai Border Guard Station mobilized a high-speed canoe and officers and soldiers to approach the area where the ship was in distress.
At the same time, coordinate with Binh Ba Border Guard Station, local forces and fishing boats operating nearby to participate in the search.
As of the afternoon of November 28, the forces were still expanding the search area around the scene, reviewing the surrounding sea area and deploying professional measures in complex sea weather conditions.
