On the afternoon of October 15, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, a program was held to express gratitude and farewell to armed forces participating in response, rescue, and support to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11.
At the farewell ceremony, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong expressed his gratitude and thanked the armed forces for supporting the locality in overcoming the consequences of floods and helping people stabilize their lives soon.

According to Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, the damage caused by floods in Thai Nguyen is extremely large. The storm and flood caused a lot of damage, but the locality will be determined to unite and stabilize soon.
Also at the program, Thai Nguyen province awarded certificates of merit to 26 units and groups with outstanding achievements in participating in rescue, relief, and overcoming the consequences of floods.
After the farewell at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, the armed forces got back on the bus to their units. Many people stood on both sides of the road, waving flags to bid farewell.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao (Phan Dinh Phung ward) said: "The forces have provided very timely support, always present at hot spots during floods to rescue, when the water recedes, they join the people in cleaning up the environment.
I am really touched and grateful to the soldiers who helped Thai Nguyen overcome natural disasters and soon stabilize her life".


The prolonged rain and floods from the night of October 6 caused many areas in Thai Nguyen to be deeply flooded. Floodwaters rose, more than 17,000 officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command, nearly 9,500 officers and soldiers from the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 1, with 254 cars and 140 boats and ships were present at the hot spots.
Thai Nguyen Provincial Police also mobilized 100% of their forces, with over 15,000 officers directly participating in building the dike, evacuating people, and rescuing people.
The Ministry of Public Security increased 2 specialized vehicles to wade through water, 300 Mobile Police soldiers and nearly 200kg of medical supplies to support Thai Nguyen.
As soon as the water receded, the armed forces continued to clean up the environment, disinfect, transport relief goods, and help people restore production.
