According to the report of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTN) of Thai Nguyen province, as of 7:00 a.m. on September 11, the total estimated property damage was over 195 billion VND.
Heavy rains caused deep flooding in many communes and districts in the province. Statistics show that 3,063 households had to be urgently evacuated; 323 houses had their roofs blown off; 25 schools were affected; 7,332.42 hectares of rice and crops; 415 hectares of forest trees; 255,817 livestock and poultry died; and 117 landslides occurred.

On September 11, according to the reporter, the water level of Cau River is gradually receding, and traffic is now flowing in the Gia Bay bridge area (Thai Nguyen city).
Some traffic areas in Quang Vinh, Tuc Duyen, Hoang Van Thu wards... in Thai Nguyen city are still partially flooded, traffic is cut off.
Nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers and local shock forces reinforced the dike at 5 locations in Thai Nguyen City (total length of about 300m) to ensure the flood resistance of the dike.
In recent days, due to the impact of super typhoon Yagi (typhoon No. 3), heavy and prolonged rain has caused rivers and lakes in many places in Thai Nguyen province to rise suddenly and flow rapidly, cutting off traffic and submerging many houses.
People were trapped and unable to move out of the flooded area, so authorities mobilized inflatable boats to rescue and provide necessities.
Due to the complicated situation, people need to proactively plan and evacuate from landslide areas to ensure safety and life.
