On August 24, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, a representative of the Dong Nai City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that component project 3, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through the city, was completed and synchronously opened to traffic in October 2026. To date, the project has reached about 80% of the contract value.
Component project 3, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is more than 11km long, starting point intersecting with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, ending point intersecting with abutment B of Nhon Trach bridge. The project has a total investment of nearly 2,600 billion VND.
This is the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3. When put into operation, the road will create an additional traffic axis connecting the Nhon Trach area with the expressway system and key routes, shortening the journey, and increasing traffic capacity between Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai city and the Mekong Delta provinces.
Ring Road 3 HCMC is also expected to expand the urban, industrial and service development space in the eastern area of HCMC, creating more room to effectively exploit the inter-regional transport infrastructure system, conveniently connecting to Long Thanh airport.
