On June 22, Bao Lam 1 Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that the unit had just organized propaganda and mobilized people in hamlet 4 to hand over weapons, explosives, support tools and dangerous weapons.
Village 4 is an area where 100% of ethnic minorities live. Therefore, the police force focuses on propaganda to raise awareness and legal compliance of people in the management, use and handover of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools.
At the propaganda session, officers of Bao Lam 1 Commune Police disseminated legal regulations related to the management and use of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools; and at the same time provided information on sanctions for the act of illegally possessing and using weapons and dangerous weapons.
The police force also mobilized people to proactively hand over weapons kept in their families and actively denounce related violations of the law.
Notably, immediately after the propaganda session, many teenagers and people voluntarily brought knives, swords, dangerous weapons and homemade guns to hand over to the police agency.
As a result, Bao Lam 1 Commune Police received 42 knives, swords of all kinds and 3 homemade guns.
According to Bao Lam 1 Commune Police, cases of voluntary handover of weapons will not be handled according to regulations and essential necessities will be given to encourage people to well comply with the law.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to hand over weapons, explosives and supporting tools, contributing to ensuring security and order, preventing crime and law violations in the area.
