At about 2:15 p.m. on March 19, during a patrol and control at the gate of Tuan Chau Tourist Area (Ha Long City), Working Group No. 1 (under Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police) discovered two foreign tourists coming to request help.
Two French tourists, Khadija Baga (female, born in 1993) and ledric Prescelti (male, born in 1987), reported that they had just taken a bus from My Dinh bus station (Hanoi) to Ha Long (Quang Ninh).
When they got off the bus at Tuan Chau gate, they discovered that they had left a handbag containing many important documents (passport, visa) and 5.7 million VND, but could not remember the license plate or bus company information.
The two international visitors added that these identification documents are very important because they are about to return to France.
In the face of an emergency situation, the Working Group quickly reviewed vehicle data of passenger transport business units.
After only 30 minutes, the traffic police force identified the vehicle license plate and driver.
Working with the driver, the working group conducted an inspection and recovered the forgotten handbag.
All assets and important documents were then fully returned to the two tourists.
