Changing the road ban time on National Highway 6 in Son La to handle landslides

Son La - From September 12, functional forces changed the time frame for temporarily prohibiting vehicles from passing Moc Chau Pass to serve the handling of landslide-prone points.

The project to handle points at risk of traffic unsafety at Km200+700 and Km201+000 National Highway 6, Con Coc curve area of Moc Chau pass, has been implemented from mid-May 2026 to date.

To serve the continued construction of the project, from September 12, functional forces changed the time frames for temporarily prohibiting vehicles from passing through the Moc Chau pass area.

Specifically, the temporary prohibited hours include: 7:30-9:00, 10:00-11:30, 13:30-14:30, 15:30-16:30, 17:30-18:30, 19:00-20:30 and 21:00-22:00 daily.

The alternating road ban aims to create conditions for construction, handle landslide risk points, and at the same time ensure safety for people and vehicles crossing Moc Chau Pass, especially during heavy rain.

Functional forces recommend that people and transport businesses proactively arrange travel time, comply with traffic diversion instructions at the scene to ensure safety and limit congestion.
