At around 7:30 p.m. the same day, people at the scene said they suddenly heard many loud explosions, then the fire flared up fiercely, with smoke rolling up the area under the overpass.
As soon as the news was received, the authorities dispatched many fire trucks and officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting to the scene. However, due to the high fire and the widespread area, control work encountered many difficulties.

According to initial research, the area where the fire broke out was a large scrap yard, which some households took advantage of the space at the foot of the overpass to gather. The large amount of scrap and fire-prone storage caused the fire to spread rapidly.
By late evening of the same day, the authorities were still trying to extinguish the fire and deploy a plan to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 1A. The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified.
