According to information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, at 4:15 p.m. today (September 13), three more people from Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune were lucky to escape death in the flood because they were working far away.
The above mentioned people are Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1991) and her two children, including Hoang Thi H. (born in 2008) and Hoang Trung H. (born in 2010).
It is known that Ms. Hong went to Yen Bai to work, was isolated by the flood and lost contact, and has now returned.
Thus, today, Lao Cai received good news when Lang Nu had 11 missing people return.
By the end of September 13, the number of people missing due to flash floods in Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune was 36, with 48 dead. There were 17 injured people being treated in the hospital, and 57 people were confirmed safe.
Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district has 167 households with 760 people, of which 37 households and 158 people were affected by the terrible flash flood on the morning of September 10.
Currently, forces are actively searching for missing victims.
