According to statistics from the People's Committee of Ngok Reo commune, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in 2 days, April 14 and 17, collapsed 2 communal houses in Dak Duong and Kon Gu 2 villages (Ngoc Reo commune).
In addition, heavy rain also caused 25 houses to have their roofs blown off, and many areas of rubber trees and passion fruit trees to be broken and fallen.
According to Mr. A Toan, Secretary of the Dak Duong village Party Cell, the locality had also experienced thunderstorms before, but it has never had such strong intensity as this time.
The family of Mr. A Khuong and Ms. Y Trai (Kon Gu 2 village) and 8 children live in a level 4 house. Due to heavy rain on the afternoon of April 17, the family's house accumulated for many years had its roof blown off. Currently, the whole family has to live as guests, staying at a neighbor's house, while waiting to repair the damaged roof.
The commune mobilized militia forces to coordinate with villages to support people to overcome the consequences, repair houses, and clean up collapsed communal houses.
The government summarizes the damage to propose funding to support affected people and soon stabilize their lives.
