On January 13, Hue City Police organized a Conference to collect opinions from voters in their workplaces for people who are introduced to run for deputy of Hue City People's Council, term 2026 - 2031.
At the conference, delegates were thoroughly grasped the purpose, meaning, and requirements of collecting voter opinions in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; and at the same time clarified the standards for People's Council Deputies in the new situation.
The conference announced the list and summary biography of the person expected to be introduced for candidacy. Accordingly, the list of nominees for Hue City People's Council for the term 2026 - 2031 includes 1 comrade, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Hue City Police.
With a spirit of democracy, objectivity and responsibility, 100% of voters attending the conference highly agreed, assessing comrade Nguyen Thanh Tuan as a typical cadre, with solid political bravery, practical capacity and close attachment to cadres, soldiers and the People.
Immediately after that, Hue City Police continued to organize an expanded conference of city police leaders to collect opinions and comments from those who were introduced to run for election. As a result, delegates voted 100% unanimously to introduce Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan to run for election as a delegate to Hue City People's Council for the term 2026 - 2031.
The conference was organized in the correct order and procedures, ensuring democracy, publicity, and transparency, contributing to the good implementation of personnel work serving the election of People's Council deputies at all levels in the coming time.
