The conference was held on January 12, in Hanoi, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (Academy), Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council.
Also attending the Conference were members of the Party Central Committee: Standing Deputy Director of the Academy Doan Minh Huan; Member of the Central Theoretical Council Tran Quoc Cuong. Also attending were Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the Academy Le Hai Binh.
Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang clearly stated that gathering opinions from voters in the workplace for people who are introduced to run for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term is an important task; the process of introducing candidates is prepared very meticulously and carefully, selecting people who are truly outstanding, reputable, knowledgeable about policies and laws, have practical experience and especially have exemplary lifestyles and good moral qualities.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Bac - Deputy Director of the Academy - disseminated the purpose, requirements, content, and program of the Conference; announced the number of voters attending; thoroughly grasped the standards for National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and cases that did not meet the conditions for candidacy according to the provisions of law. At the same time, voters listened to a summary of the biographies of individuals expected to be nominated.
Voters in the working area attending the conference unanimously assessed that those introduced for candidacy have solid political bravery, a long history of experience, moral qualities, a pure lifestyle, a high sense of responsibility, strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; meet the conditions and standards to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term.
The conference conducted a vote in the form of raising hands; as a result, 100% of voters attending unanimously approved the list of people expected to be introduced as candidates for the 16th National Assembly.
