On January 1, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Hue City Lottery Company Limited (since January 1, 2025, Thua Thien Hue province becomes Hue City) provided Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (name has been changed - residing in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province, in the lawsuit requesting Hue City Lottery Company Limited to pay the lottery winnings of 2 billion VND) with the results of the appraisal of the special prize winning lottery ticket with the winning number 386552 (F) conducted by Hue City Police. At the same time, the company returned 12 million VND in appraisal fees for the lottery ticket that it had previously collected from Ms. Nga.
Additional information sources said that on December 31, 2024, representatives of Ms. Nga and Hue City Lottery Company Limited worked and agreed on the above contents.
Currently, the results of the lottery ticket appraisal have been submitted by Ms. Nga's representative to the People's Court of Huong Thuy town, Hue city.
According to the source, Ms. Nga has completed the documents and paid the advance court fees according to the law as required by the People's Court of Huong Thuy town, Hue city and is waiting for the next move from the court.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on October 14, Ms. Nga bought 2 lottery tickets issued by Hue City Lottery Company Limited. In the drawing on the same day, the lottery ticket with the winning number 486552 (F) won the special consolation prize. Although it was torn, Ms. Nga was still paid 50 million VND.
However, lottery ticket 386552 (F) won the special prize of 2 billion VND and was not paid because the ticket was torn in the lower right corner, although the appraisal results of Hue City Police confirmed that this was a real lottery ticket and the numbers were not erased.
On December 10, Ms. Nga filed a lawsuit against Hue City Lottery Company Limited at Huong Thuy Town People's Court, requesting payment of the prize money for the lottery ticket that won the special prize.
Ms. Nga also paid a provisional civil court fee of 36 million VND, along with a certificate of her marital status, to the People's Court of Huong Thuy town.
The lawsuit is currently being considered and accepted by the People's Court of Huong Thuy Town, Hue City according to regulations.
