According to the reporter's records on the morning of December 19, the overpass section through the eastern urban area of Ho Chi Minh City, nearly 15km long, has clearly formed, creating a new look for gateway traffic infrastructure.

According to the Project Management Board, the technical opening of this overpass is not only a technical milestone but also a spiritual "push" for the entire construction site. This is the result of persistent construction efforts over the past two years, in the context of the project facing many pressures on progress and raw materials.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 route is 76.3 km long, with a total investment of VND 75,378 billion, passing through Ho Chi Minh City (formerly including Binh Duong), Dong Nai, Tay Ninh.

According to the reporter, the overpass section has been seamlessly connected from the area adjacent to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway to the Tan Van intersection (formerly Binh Duong).

Today, we have completed the first section of the route and are ready to construct the asphalt concrete layer. As for the overpass, we have also completed the bridge deck. In the coming time, we will continue to deploy asphalt paving work on the bridge deck, complete the railing and traffic safety systems," said Mr. Bui Van Quan, Chief Inspector of the package.
The latest progress report shows that the 10 main packages of Ring Road 3 have reached more than 68% of output, with 14.7 km of overpass through Thu Duc City (previously) reaching 86%, about 10 months ahead of schedule, qualified for technical traffic opening.

According to contractors, the 14.7 km of overpass of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project is a section with particularly complex construction conditions. The project passes through an area with many canals, paved with fields, weak soil, and almost no existing access roads. All materials, equipment, and human resources must be transferred by water or temporary service roads must be opened, making it difficult to organize construction.
When put into operation, the overpass across the eastern metropolis will become one of the strategic traffic axes, reducing pressure on Hanoi Highway and National Highway 1 and opening up the possibility of strong connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai - Tay Ninh.
