On June 18, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to administratively sanction Ms. H, residing in Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district. The reason was that Ms. H had narrowed the flow by more than 50% without approval from the competent authority.
Ms. H's behavior violated Article 25 of Decree No. 36/2020 of the Government, regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of water resources and minerals.
In addition to the main fine of 225 million VND, Ms. H must also take remedial measures including: Forced restoration of the original state that had been changed due to the violation. Forced to dismantle the construction, dismantle, and relocate objects that obstruct the flow. The deadline for implementing these remedial measures is 30 days, from the date of receipt of the penalty decision.
