On January 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee decided to reclaim 9.21 hectares of land leased to An Phu Nong Company Limited. The reason was that this company had to terminate part of its investment project in Loc Phu commune (Bao Lam district).
With the remaining 130.83 hectares of leased land, the Provincial People's Committee requested the company to continue to manage and use it for the right purpose.
In addition, the company must pay VND 3,781,514,000 in compensation for damage to forest resources.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Dam Bri Protective Forest Management Board to manage the above 9.21 hectares of recovered land.
In case An Phu Nong Company Limited does not comply with the land recovery decision, Bao Lam District People's Committee will organize enforcement according to regulations.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect the current status of forest resources on the recovered land area compared to the time of lease.
