Vieng Market (Trung Thanh Commune, Vu Ban District, Nam Dinh Province) also known as Vieng Phu Market, takes place on the night of the 7th and early morning of the 8th of January. According to ancient beliefs, this market has the meaning of "buying luck and selling bad luck", so many tourists flock here to attend this special market.
On February 3 (the 6th day of the first lunar month), according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at Vieng market, many traders came here to prepare goods to serve people's shopping.
Present at Vieng market since early this morning (February 3), Ms. Ngo Thi Ngoan (Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province) said: "This year I rented a medium-sized truck to transport various plants from Thai Binh to Vieng Phu market to sell. From 6am, there were many traders transporting goods here, everyone quickly chose a suitable selling location. The weather this year is cold and rainy, so it is very difficult for us traders to have to sell outdoors like this."
The goods at Vieng market are very rich and diverse, forming a fair for the socio-economic exhibition of Vu Ban district. Here there are all kinds of items such as flowers, ornamental plants, agricultural tools, handicrafts made of rattan and bamboo, bronze, wooden products, ceramics, antiques, ... and all kinds of modern consumer products produced by individuals and businesses inside and outside the province.
